Vietnam ICT Investment Forum (VIF) 2018 opened in the morning of September 27, 2018. With the topic "Digital connection in Industry 4.0", the Forum aimed at policy consultation and attracting investment in ICT sector, especially investment in telecommunication & IT infrastructure to meet Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0. Attending the event, MobiFone brought along many advanced technology solutions, attracting the interest of domestic and international enterprises.

The conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) Phan Tam and other enterprises in ICT sector, together with many business partners and international guests. MobiFone delegate was presented by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan - Member of the Board, Mr. Nguyen Dang Nguyen - Deputy General Director cum acting General Director, together with leaders of some affiliated units.

 

At the Forum, MobiFone introduced and displayed many IT solutions to address the necessities of urban life with the aims of building intelligent cities and improving living quality for people. These advances clearly express the company’s orientation in product development and Industry 4.0.

Among MobiFone’s solutions, two technologies for building future intelligent cities received a lot of attention, which are Next Generation Communication Solution and Automatic Fire-Fighting System. In particular, the first technology is next-generation broadcasting solution with the goal of replacing conventional radio system. MobiFone focuses on developing public and IoT services to replace national speaker system which has exposed many shortcomings in modern urban life. On the other hand, the Automatic Fire-Fighting System is equipped with intelligent sensors and automatic fire extinguishers that will send data to the centralized control center to ensure the fastest and most effective fire-prevention and fire-fighting, then minimize damage. These are two Industry 4.0 advances introduced by MobiFone to build a smart city.

For target clients of medium and small enterprises, and startup companies, MobiFone also introduced 4 solutions in the Forum, including MegaMeeting - online conference, mSale - mobile app for distribution and sale channel management solution, Cloud Backup – online backup solution, and mTracker – itinerary tracking.

In addition to the future trend solutions, MobiFone also brought along two products that had impressed at domestic and foreign forums, including: Intelligent Base Station Management and Monitoring System and Intelligent Watches that allow parents to contact, locate, and set up safe areas for their young children.

Vietnam ICT Investment Forum (VIF) is an annual event organized by Ministry of Information and Communications for the purpose of policy consultation and investment attraction to ICT enterprises. With the topic "Digital connection in Industry 4.0", this year's forum focuses on the development of infrastructure investment in telecommunications and IT to meet the needs of digital transformation and industrial revolution 4.0; encouraging investment from enterprises and the private sector into basic elements of Industry 4.0, focusing on attracting investment in digital infrastructure, 4G broadband development and 5G investment roadmap. At the same time, the forum also aims to take advantage of Vietnam's position in the region to promote Vietnamese enterprises’ investment in ASEAN countries, especially Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.

According to the agenda, during 2 days of forum, representatives of state management agencies and ICT enterprises, associations and investors will discuss on four main topics which are: Digital Infrastructure Investment to meet Industry 4.0 requirements; ASEAN digital connections; Solutions for digital connection and transformation; and The Future of Urban Living - Smart Cities.
